As far as I know, this machine was purchased new by RomWeber furniture in Batesville, Indiana in the late 70's. The machine resided in the factory until it was purchased by Heartwood Manufacturing in i994. The machine saw less than 750 hours of use in the factory, when the company upgraded to a larger Curtis Machine Co. stroke sander. It was then taken out of use and put into storage.
I purchased the machine in August of 2011 and did a little cleaning up on the machine, and it works great! The machine weighs 1,100 lbs and currently has a 2 hp, single phase Leeson motor. The table is meant to accomodate 48" stock, but can sand up to a 5 1/2 foot workpiece.
