This machine turned up on the local CL and sat there for two months, probably due to being mislabelled. Finally, I could bear it no more and called. I drove up and picked the machine up. It was filthy dirty with grime and some surface rust, but was otherwise intact. I dismantled the machine, cleaned off decades of grime and grease, and put it back together. It runs well and effortlessly drills large holes through steel; the torque it generates is to be respected.
