>>HISTORY<<
I purchased this machine on eBay. No further information is available.
>>MACHINE<<
Montgomery Ward Powr-Kraft 4x36 horizontal belt sander. Powr-Kraft Beige finish.
This compact machine has a cast iron body, die-cast aluminum fence and porous bronze bearings.
The pulley should be 2.0" diameter. (The one shown in the first photo is not correct.)
The TRT model prefix, indicates that it was made by Rockwell.
Rockwell/Delta claims they never made this machine.
Based on the styling, it appears to have been made by Magna.
The same sander can be seen with Toolkraft (m/n 300) and Eaton TECOmaster (m/n 79-580A) badges.
I contacted Toolkraft and they stated that they didn't manufacture the sander.
>>UPDATE-5/2/2012<<
Added photos of the sander mounted to a simple wooden frame stand, with dust collection.
Switched fence/stop screws from slotted to internal hex cap.
The red Desmond tool is a sanding belt cleaner, that works pretty well and without the mess of crepe sticks.
>>UPDATE-1/5/2014<<
I no longer own this machine.
I sold it to a fellow OWWMer at ArnFest 2013.
