I bought this planer in October 2011 in a lot of several other old power tools. The other machines were equally old - probably 1950's vintage. I haven't got it going yet, but will probably not restore it more than enough to make it functional. It has an extremely large and heavy motor. It got a little wet and rusted before I got it secured.
