I did some work for a guy that wanted to give me some things to bring down the price I quoted him---I got this machine for $100.00! Brought it home, made a few adjustments, cut a piece of cherry---blades needed sharpening. Sent the blades to my local WoodCraft store to be sharpened. I installed the blades and WOW! Awesome machine! I politely sold all of my other "lunchbox" planers! This is a workhorse of a planer! A couple of months later I decided to give it some new paint to match my color scheme. This machine still has the manufacturers name on the blades-Parks HSS!
5 Horse "WEG" 220 volt Motor makes this machine hard to bog down-I honestly belive I could shave off a 1/4" in a pass on cherry!
