Bought it from a guy who buys storage lockers, so no real history. It had been used routinely, there are lots of little dings in the table, but was in good mechanical condition. New bearings for the DP and for the 1/2 HP motor. The chuck cleaned up nicely. The VS drive was also in very good condition.
The knobs were broken off the speed selector wheel, only one was left, but it works just fine.

The speed indicator works pretty well too, I se the low end for 450 rpm like the dial indicates, which gave the top speed 4,200 RPM.

I used JB weld for the arc of shame. It doesn't completely hide the marks, but it gets a flat surface, and makes the marks way less noticeable.

Otherwise it was a matter of cleaning/ painting/ polishing
