Comments:
I bought this Remmel drill press at a swap meet in Le Sueur Minnesota in the spring of 2011. This drill press was made by Remmel Bro. Mfg. Co. in Kewaskum Wisconsin. Since I bought my Remmel drill press, I have learned of four other Remmel drill presses. Two are in the Kewaskum Historical Society Museum in Kewaskum Wisconsin, the other two are privately owned and are near Kewaskum. I have seen three of these four other Remmel drills, and they all differ from one another as well as from my drill. All of these drills have a wood base as well as a wood upright. Of the two Remmel drills in the Kewaskum museum, one is a variation of the 1879 Remmel patent, and the other is based on the 1894 Remmel patent.
