I bought this machine off ebay several years ago. It was the first serious piece of OWWM I bought and restored. I was excited to have a machine with a cast iron cabinet base, and because it was not a more popular brand it went fairly cheap. There turned out to be several serious problems with it, so my good price quickly turned into an average one. I had to source blades, which because of the cutter head design, need to be +/- .002 or so of .125" thick to fit. I went through several sets of blades before I found some that were close enough to their listed size to work properly. Also, there were many pot metal parts that had cracked apart and had to be remade or bought. The bearing housings, for example, were made by a friend who had access to a machine shop out of solid aluminum. Hand cranks for the table elevations and various lock knobs were purchased. I made the guard out of a piece of aluminum plate. This machine has inventory tags from a place called CWC Foundry, and I got it in the suburbs of Indianapolis from a fellow who I think bought and sold machinery part time. It seems to have had a hard life in the foundry and possibly not been in use between being taken out of service and when I restored it. The motor that was in the machine when I got it, was a 1/2 HP Delta repulsion induction motor. I sold this motor to a delta fanatic and am currently using a modern GE motor.
There are quite a few 6" Duro jointers in the index but I think this is the only example of the cast iron production base. My machine is missing the upper belt cover, bed extension rods, and original cutter guard. It does work quite well and is in regular use.
