bought from the OWWM BYOD forum. Lathe is marked "Massachusetts Tool Company" - which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Goodel-Pratt. I believe this lathe is what is called a "precision 700". Note broken tailstock casting.

The jackshaft assembly is for a watchmaker's lathe, unrelated to the lathe pictured - I discovered this when I compared the step pullies (they are very different) - the jackshaft is for a very old watchmaker's lathe.

This lathe has a small drawbar that holds the chuck (shown) or collets, or other accessories. there is an MT-0 dead center in the tailstock quill.

I cleaned the unit with a 12 inch wire brush held in a saw arbor and driven by a 1.5 hp motor. some hard to clean parts were bead blasted (really just part of the bed and tailstock). It is painted with two part (dupont) automotive urethane paint over a light layer of etching primer.

For the record, the holes for oil cups are threaded 9/32-40, there is a taper to the threads, I don't know what the original oil hole covers looked like.
