Comments:

Came from the North Bay high school in the '50s as far as I know and taken to a workshop for a Gravenhurst area summer hotel/resort. Has a taper turning attachment. I just wish it had the steady rest too!
The supplier was Fairbanks Morse.
I will add more info and photos as work progresses. If anyone has any information on these machines, I would love to hear from them.
