Bought this Unisaw on CL about a month ago. I was told it originally came from a farmer's shop that had been bought out by the seller. Unfortunately it had sat outside for a while, and although covered with a tarp it ended up with some rust. The seller's grandfather attempted at some rewiring to bypass the magnetic starter that he could not get going just to show that it ran. However it kept blowing breakers. As I mainly strive to get machinery cleaned up and running for use, I did not restore the saw, just cleaned it, removed rust, painted the plinth and the motor end bell housing, rewired it for full magnetic starter operation and put it on a homemade mobile base. I measured the arbor runout at < 0.001" so I'm delighted. It now runs smoothly. I'm still debating on whether to change the color of the fence and guard from the bright orange as those need painting anyway. The saw still needs the motor cover to make the dust collection more effective, but that will come in time.
