Interesting old planer offered on ebay with an auction close date of Mar 7, 2004. Seller included the following:

This is an antique RED FOX wood thickness planer. It was made in 1938 by the Partington Corp in Cincinatti, OH. It has a split phase Robbins&Meyers motor powering it. Right now it is wired for 220. This planer will handle wood up to 2 1/2" thick by 10" wide. The blades are sharp and in excellent condition. It is all intact in working order. Hand crank adjustment is smooth. This is one heavy hunk of American made iron. I've had to pick this machine up twice to move it and it is a bear.
