Found this on craigslist for around the forty buck range. Unfortunately for me it had a thick layer of "make-up" on it. Since I am more of a fan of the original patinas on tools I had to "unrestore" it so to speak. Though I think restored and freshly painted vintage tools look spectacular I myself prefer my tools to have their original finihes with all the marks and flaws. Sort of that barn find finish that hot rodders dream of finding. Shows their history more. A lot of the time those original finishes take decades to aquire and are impossible to duplicate perfectly. Each mark and scrape holds a different story. The motor for this one I picked up for five bucks at a garage sale. Not sure how old it is but it does go back there. The switch I also picked up cheap at a sale. It has a paper tag on the inside that says amoung other things 1938. I assume that was the date the switch was designed and not nessisarily made. The stand for this also came from a garage sale. I mickey moused it up to hold the saw. The cast iron base is mounted to a round piece of 1.25" plate steel. I need everything in my studio to be mobile and take minimal space in order to fit everything in. This saw runs incredibly smooth. The bearings all seem tight. Apparently from what I picked up on this site this saw is pre 1938?

Comments: Here is the mickey mouse stand I made up for the saw. The cast iron base sits on a piece of 1.25" plate steel. Of course also has wheels for the mobility I require.
