Delta Homecraft 11" wood lathe acquired off of eBay. I received it missing the tail cone on the tail stock and the tool rest/base. It had been completely spray painted black. Pulley, handles, and all. It had not been cleaned 1st, they sprayed over dirt and rust. Then they sprayed the tail stock handles silver. I made a new tail cone bushing for the tail stock then tore everything down, cleaned and repainted. Picked up a tool rest holder from a different Delta and made tool rests. The tapered bearings run quite and true with know oil leaks. I will keep this lathe.
December 2013: Acquired my father's Craftsman lathe that was mounted on a Delta cast iron leg set. I mounted the Delta on the cast iron legs. Now have an original tool rest, face plate, and tail stock. Replaced the old belt with a link belt. Between my two lathes I have a lot of tool rests and face plates.
