Found this RAS in an active chicken coop in East Texas through a radio want ad show. The man just said that he had an old RAS for sale. I called him up and got directions and went to look at it not knowing what I might find (that's half the fun). When I got there I expected that he would show me a mid 70's C-Man on the back porch. He lead me down a trail out through the yard to a chicken coop. When he opened the door, chickens, feathers and dirt flew everywhere. The saw was piled up with bags of chicken feed and had been used as a roost by the residents. It was nasty. The seller fished out an extension cord from somewhere while I uncovered my find. Plugged it in and fired it up. I checked all the necessaries and everything seemed to be there. It was sitting on its original metal cabinet with the Rockwell/Delta decal. I asked how much? He said "I'd like ta git a hunnerd". I said "I'll give sixty". He thought for a moment and said "ahh rite". Loaded and out of there in less than 15 minutes. When I got it home and unloaded I began to clean and inspect what I had. It was more dirty than it was used. New motor bearings, new power cord, lubrication and a new Mr. Sawdust table and she runs dead on accurate and smooth. Great saw. I thought about tearing it down and restoring it to "pretty", but it works just fine "ugly". You should see my truck, talk about ugly.
