Comments:
Purchased this lathe from a local farmer, He had purchased it 30 years ago and put it in his barn and never touched it. Needless to say it looked pretty rough. The asking price was right and all I had to do was get it out from behind 30 years of clutter. After getting it home there was several times I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew. However other than the electrical, paint and the solid sulfur in the cross slide there wasn't anything wrong with the lathe. I took it completely apart and cleaned and or replaced every bearing in the lathe. I installed a 3ph motor with a VFD and adapted the drive and it runs great.
