Purchased this Powermatic sander in summer 2010. It was originally owned by the Pensacola School Department. I immediately tore it appart after getting it to the shop. The sander was pretty much complete, missing only a few parts. As luck would have it, the parts missing were parts I could not get from Powermatic. Fortunately, I was able to purchase the parts on Ebay. Every part was touched and cleaned of green paint and rust. I did something with this machine I don't normally do. I replaced most of the original hardware with stainless steel hardware. I used this Rustoleum paint based on discussion here. The paint is Rustoleum 7275, Metallic Burnished Brass. After receiving a part still painted the original gold paint, I saw the difference was barely noticable. The difference I see is the Rustoleum has more metallic flake in the paint.
