THIS MACHINE IS NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK, AND NO I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE YOUR ITEM "X" FOR IT. THIS IS NOT A SALES FORUM AND I DO NOT HAVE MACHINERY FOR SALE HERE.

I purch'd this Delta Unisaw for $300.00, from the "Northtowns Boys and Girls Club", Buffalo, NY in Sep 2007, negotiations for the saw began two weeks earlier, waiting for checks to clear and fighting off the online auction/parts resell crowd took at least that long. I was told later, that many emails to the organizations director offered him two or three times what I paid, but I was first in line. There is something to be said for "honesty" in this country and city. The club began as a "Boys" only club in the suburb of "Riverside" and it is still there, the club/building was erected in 1909 I believe and the saw acquired in '46 or '47. The club could no longer afford the insurance liability of having a wood shop, and their shop was basically a very complete "Delta Shop", the majority of the machinery I did purchase and then resell to an OWWMember in CA. The only pc that remained in the bldg & for the maitenance/boiler man was a dbl duty grinder on a pedestal. For an entire Delta Shop's worth of machinery, I managed to load it all out with just myself and a dolly cart, onto my Dodge pickup. It took three trips and an entire afternoon. I did remove the deck from the Uni prior to moving, otherwise it was moved intact. It took me a little more than three years to complete the restoration of this saw, hey, life got in the way along with a host of other restorations, woodwork and more life. I would like to thank countless members at the OWWM forums for their help in the restoration and especially, Mike Floyd, John Sullivan, Harry Stanton, Neil Bellenger, & Jude Samson for their advice and replacement parts. Also to Matt Wheaton for your arbor press and pressing in those bearings in your shop one Fall season. Also big thanks to local North Tonawanda man - David Brooks for your technical expertise and hands on assistance. We'll get you into the membership someday Dave. This saw is such a pleasure to use, the elevation/angle settings are so easy to set and alter, I don't know why I didn't switch to the Uni earlier. I strictly use Forrest sawblades on this saw, and their WWII is my favorite and yes, I use a stabilizer for the thin kerf blades. Those are my recommendations, not Unisaw/table saw gospel. I also use the oem fence, (which is actually a replacement, the original was broken), and miter gauge, (which may not be period/age correct, but it is what I rec'd w/the saw), with the addition of a Biesemeyer splitter/kickback device and will continue to use those until a better solution comes my way at a price that I can afford. I do have a Vega fence system standing by, but haven't made the leap to mount it up. Personally I like my modified stock version of the Unisaw so far.

More photos and info is available on this saw and the steps I went thru for it's restoration. Email me or look me up over at: http://www.owwm.org/index.php

Comments: OOOoo, broken teeth,(left cir.), and a broken blade/gear portion, (right oval), on arbor bracket, definite non-starter giving the operator only 3/4 - 1" of elevation and not seen upon initial inspection. This part is now ballast for something in the shop

Comments: my Unisaw, done, "egg" is presently mounted. Have a second person with two good hands help you mount this, they're slippery.

Comments: These are the belts that came to me w/the saw. A matched set of 3 fm Gates is now installed. I had tried link belts for a num. of mon. but feel that a matched after mkt set of this style of belt is the better way to go.
