I acquired this machine in late 2005 from a man who bought it from a retired shop teacher who bought it from the school where he taught. It was complete altho disassembled to the bucket (and main frame) level so a major part of the work was done. All new bearing, bushings, belts, knives and, of course, paint. The paint chosen was Rustoleum Hammered black which ended up as a nice dark gray. The motor that came with it is a 1ph 3hp Westinghouse that only needed the capacitors replaced. A very nice motor but don't know if this is the original motor or not. Please note that in the following photos, the motor starter and the throwout lever had not been installed.
I believe the difference between the CD-16 and the CE-16 is that the CE came with a motor belt guard and the CD did not. Mine has no provisione (i.e. bolt holes) for a belt guard.
