I had wanted a floor model drill press, certainly didn't need it, but wanted one. Saw this listed on BOYD, drove a couple hours to pick it up and am sure, as others have, was "impressed" at the size of the machine. Slid the head down the column a bit and right into my Element. It's missing a few things, which have been replaced, have managed to clean 60 years of shavings and oil off and other than an arc of shame on the table have been pleased to find how well made these tools were. Powered by a 1/2 hp, dual voltage single phase Hoover motor. All the bearings appeared to be original, waiting on delivery of new bearings from Accurate to get this assembled and ready for another 60 years of use.
