Found this at the local flea market. It was attached to an old decorative cast iron garden column. The vendor told me that when he first saw it at an estate sale, his first thought was "...nice column, but what am I going to do with the saw.." My first reaction at the flea market was "...great saw--what am I going to do with that base..." long story short, I bought the whole "enchilada". I disassembled the saw from the base and the vendor bought back the column---everyone was happy. The saw came with a 1/4 hp Westinghouse motor--not working. I spoke with Dan at Davis and Wells and he told me that model saw was pretty scarce. It's complete and of very beefy construction. My plan is to do a selective freshening, and perhaps rig it up as a metal cutting saw using a vintage gear reduction unit I have.
