THIS MACHINE IS NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK, AND NO I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE YOUR ITEM "X" FOR IT. THIS IS NOT A SALES FORUM AND I DO NOT HAVE MACHINERY FOR SALE HERE.
I have no real history on the machine, I bought it for $75.00 "as is" at a yard sale on 6.19.11, corner of Richmond and Rhode Isl. streets, on the west side of Buffalo, NY. I test ran the motor and after playing with all of the knobs, switches and so forth, paid and cut the cords. Motor has been rewired. Apart from using some WD40 and some steel wool on the rusty top/rails, etc., I kept the rollaround stand, found a box for the dc, and, I haven't do much else to this and just put it to work in the "rathole" shop. Thanks to Matt Kantar for enabling me to this saw, he had spotted it on a bike ride after our annual-weekly Sunday b'fast. I didn't get to the saw till 2 hours later and it was still there, that's something of a record. I have purch'd an all Delta version of this saw, in the past for a relative and was fairly impressed with how much fun this size of saw is, accurate and easy to elevate and angle the blade as compared to other saws of the same era. It doesn't have the blade guard/splitter ability of the Delta I bought, but there is still time. I use a number of different sized blades on that saw, some are 7" and some are larger and take up all the room allowed for up to a 9" blade. As of 7.5.19, I am reminded that I haven't yet mounted the angle pointer on my saw, I have at least two of these w/related hardware. The cleaned up deck removed the pos blade, motor to a motor shop, back in use in a wk. The arbor was & still is messed up just not visible, pulley/set screw comes off. A wkly tuning of the screw keeps up w/it fm surprising the heck out of me.
