This motor and its 3 phase twin were used in a small Wisconsin manufacturing operation that made weather vanes. The building used a line shaft set up, and these two motors supplied all the power for the machinery.
While the motor badge lists this as a 2 phase motor, the consensus of those with knowledge on the subject was that this had probably been converted at some point to 3 phase.
