Comments:
This smaller scroll saw was given to me by a friend who treated it a bit roughly in transport, unfortunately cracking the belt guard and breaking the trunnion clamp shoe. Otherwise the unit was in operating condition. The original(?) 1/3 hp Rockwell Delta by Marathon motor is in excellent shape, and there were not excessive amounts of corrosion or buildup of gunk inside the crankcase or the plunger. I repaired the guard, found a replacement clamp shoe, cleaned and repainted the castings, polished parts as appropriate, and installed a new switch and cord. The blower function via the plunger tube works fine; I simply haven't installed the tubing as yet. The saw and motor are mounted on a plywood base for portability and storage. Having two other scroll saws I do not use this one often.
