acquired 1980 for $500 sans motor from dusty wall, pegram, tn who had a small factory making high quality antebellum furniture reproductions. originally babbet bearings, the journals had worn eccentric to the round two knife cutterhead making running it quite an adventure. we turned the shaft and mounted it on pillow blocks. the nonoriginal guard came to us with the machine. we mounted a 3 hp, 3 phase motor on it and use it for face jointing. the tables are not perfectly true which limits its usefulness for edge jointing.
