This is my latest ground up restoration. The ELECTRIC CARPENTER consists of:
(1)10" Table Saw with miter gauge, rip fence and blade guard with splitter. The miter gauge includes a stop rod for repetitive same size cross-cutting.
(2)6" Jointer with tilting fence and guard.
(3)14" wood cutting Band Saw with a tilting table. The Band Saw is mounted on hinges and swings down out of the way so as to not impede the capacity of the Table Saw when working with a wide panel by simply loosening 2 latches. When in the horizontal position. The Band Saw assembly rests on a pivoting support leg which folds out of the way when the Band Saw is in the vertical position
(4)7' Wood Lathe with 12" tool rest and tail stock with a #2 morse taper ram with a 4" travel.
(5)Spindle Shaper that operates in forward and reverse and has it's own adjustable fence. It also has a Tenon Jig that rides in the miter gauge slot
(6)Mortiser / Horizontal Borer that can be used to drill holes for doweling or by putting the hollow chisel holder in place will cut a mortise.
All machines run off the same motor but independently of one another either by moving the flat belt position to the proper pulley or in the case of the Band Saw, engaging the quick connent fitting. The motor support has a tensioning device that is used to take up slack when moving the belt to various pulleys.
This is the only complete and unmodified ELECTRIC CARPENTER I have ever come across.
