I acquired this sander through Craigslist. It was advertised as the sander portion only (sander that rest on top of cabinet). When I picked the sander up the seller asked if I wanted the cabinet? I didn't even know it had a cabinet. So he brought the cabinet out to show me. Said if I didn't take it he would probably throw it out! I said of course I'll take it and I'm glad I did. It originally had a three phase motor which I changed to single phase. I installed a set of Delta cabinet casters which required a little effort as I had to cut four three inch holes in the bottom of the metal foot print. I also installed a Delta Furnas switch as the one that came with the sander was missing. Vega had a metal door for these cabinets but mine was missing so I made a wooden door, I am a wood worker. The sander itself appears to be an Atlas sander that Vega supplied a cabinet for. The Vega brand seems to be a rare breed so I thought I would provide mine for the site.
