Found this American 16 in jointer listed on CL in Napa,CA. I hr away. I was mainly going to buy a large bead blast cabinet and i just could not leave this beauty there. PO bought it from Kaiser steel about 20 years ago and never did do anything with it. He told me that it was 220 3 ph and after getting it home and got the home made guards off it looks like the original motor could of been rewound for 440. I do not see many others that look like they have there original motors so i will probably start looking for a transformer to go from 220 to 440, I will keep this jointer direct drive. This is a tank weighing in at around a ton. I plan on doing a complete restore of this Jointer.
