I bought this from Ebay. It had seen some pretty hard use. It got the full tear down and rebuild. This included new bearings and seal etc. I machined up a few new spindles so it's now got a full set of 12. I had to buy a couple of rubber sleeves. I also had to make up the smaller throat plate. I was lucky and got one of the last dust collection adapters from State. It was not cheap either but works amazingly well.
I really liked the look of the 3 phase fused disconnect box on the front so I decided to keep it and remove the fuses and contactor. This gave me room to mount a small 120 volt to 240 volt FM50 VFD so it now runs off single phase. The disconnect switch turns the VFD on and off and the buttons start and stop the motor.
The mobile base works like a hand truck, just tilt it and go. The sander is light enough that it rolls pretty easy.
I use this machine much more than I though I would. It saves a lot of of time hand sanding.
