This is a 12" pedestal grinder I picked up at the annual Steam up in Brooks Oregon. This event has a pretty good swap meet. It has a 2hp 3 phase dual voltage motor. The guards are attached with a single bolt to a fabricated plate that sits between the pedestal and the motor. They sit on angled mounts which allow the guards to move forward for full size grinding wheels or to the rear to minimize the free space on undersize wheels.
The distributor for this grinder was Moore Machinery Company of Los Angeles and San Fransisco. Their tag is on the pedestal as well as a US Govt. property tag. I fabbed the rolling base from oval cut 1/2" plate and the casters are attached to dressed out 3 x 5 angle iron Welded to the plate. Ed.
