Have no serial on machine, bought from a cabinet maker getting out of the business for 300.00 Although machine has 16" knives the out feed table is over 25" in width, and I was told is was to allow for a shaper head to be mounted underneath. I have not seen this version and would welcome any information.
Member Keith Rucker cleared this up for me with the following ----16” Crescent jointer that was originally part of a Crescent Universal Woodworker. The Universal Woodworker was a combo machine that Crescent made that had multiple machines on one big cast iron base. The hole on the back was for the shaper that was installed on the combo machines. The reason the legs are short is because it originally bolted to the cast iron frame, which would lift it up several more inches.
