Parks woodworking 18" wood/metal bandsaw. It was badged/marketed by Craftsman but made by Parks. It is circa 1955. It has a two piece frame; the upper arm bolts on the lower frame. It can be used for cutting wood or metal. In wood cutting mode the blade runs at about 4600 SFPM. For cutting metal, the saw has an integrated gear box with a 28:1 gear ratio. In addition, the gearbox and motor have 3 sheave step pulleys giving metal cutting speeds of 175 SFPM, 225 SFPM, and 290 SFPM. Purchased by me in an auction of school shop equipment. I have since sold the saw.
