This was a craigslist find and the seller told me he found quite a bit of information online. Well he was good salesman because I bought it. $150. The raised letters on the lathe bed show GE Sieber and CW Donnelly. I cannot find anything online about it. Regardless of the history it is a very nice heavy machine that appears to be very tight. The spindle rides on brass bearings that are locked in position with locking collars. One end of the spindle has a 1-1/4" - 7 threaded with a #2 morse taper. The other end is threaded and can carry a grinding stone for touching up your tools without having to move. I'll have to find a step pulley for the motor when the time comes. The paint looks fresh so I'm going to take a real good look at it before it goes into service.

ADMIN NOTE: Moved this lathe to "Other Maker" instead of "Unknown Manufacturer" because it was very likely made as a school shop project. See the discussion on owwm.org: http://owwm.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=94330&p=643989&hilit=Sieber#p643989
