I bought this planer about a year ago from a CL ad. PO did not know anything about it and only wanted $50.00 for it. It came with a large 2hp century motor that PO said did not run. After replacing one of the capacitors the motor ran great. But the cutter head had a bad vibration and looked to be bent. Removed cutter head and found that the shaft at some time spun a bearing. Wore into the shaft .015 The shaft was 1 7/16 and i was able to find some bearing that the OD fit the housings and had a 1 1/2 ID. Turned the cutter head between centers and machined down to 1 1/2 and re machined end of shaft v grove for belt drive and installed with the new bearings. Made a mobile cart for it and put it to work.
