I bought this Craftsman Band Saw from a guy up in New Jersey in September 2001 who saw my WTB classified ad on this website. Band Saw came with a home made aluminum angle stock stand and a 1/3-HP Craftsman (115.Packard) motor that did not work.
I just recently found another mid 1950' Model 100 band saw locally in San Antonio with one of the mid 1950's optional cast iron pedestal stands and a nice Craftsman/Packard 115. 1/2-HP 3450rpm motor. I also got the very rare factory Craftsman "Slow-Speed" attachment for metal cutting. I restored the entire BS with the Awl Grip two part paint system mixed to match that nice original "King-Seeley" gray color.
Replaced the original rubber tires (Part #41815 at Sears 800-366-7278)
Replaced the bent original die-cast lower drive pulley with a cast steel machined/balanced Browning pulley.
Blade size on this saw is 80"
New wheel bearings.
New Fenner Link Belt
New electrical cord and toggle switch/metal box.
Added a lower tire brush.
Added a period correct OPITONAL (somewhat rare and hard to find) Craftsman band saw rip fence
