This lathe was purchased in England and rebuilt there before being imported to the US by the previous owner. I first saw it 4 years ago just after I had bought a Powermatic 3520B. I wanted it then, but it was about 3 weeks too late. It recently came to my attention that it was for sale and after talking to the owner, I decided to sell my Powermatic and get this one. It was located on the second floor of his shop building, but he had a crane to lower it down to my trailer for the trip home. The fit and finish is like that of a Rolls Royce. True English workmanship. It has a flat belt drive and the large black lever is a belt shifter for the four speeds. The threads are all BSW (British Standard Whitworth) and I need to get a few Whitworth wrenches. It has a 3 phase motor and I plan to power it with a VFD.
