Acquired from a friend in 2011 - he knew I was interested in old machines, and had a newer DP to use. He had acquired it from an older gentlemen years ago who no longer needed it in his shop. This DP is in great cosmetic condition, possibly original paint. The spindle pulley is long gone, and the PO had tried to put a pulley on top of the spindle housing to drive the press. The handle and the depth guage stop are MIA, but replaceable. Still has the original chuck key on a string. The PO had rigged a Craftsman quick motor mount on the back, but it can't have functioned well.

This is the sister to the Walker-Turner D705 Drill press as listed in the 1934 Driver Power Tools catalog: http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=374 It is also featured in the 1935 Instruction Guide - How to use the Drill Press: http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=2101. The give-away to me when I first saw it were the water-faucet style handles. The motor mount is very adjustable in height, with some lateral adjustment.
Pretty good cool factor to the DP - will try to find a spindle pulley and keep this as a user.
