i bought this saw in the early eighties off a guy who had it sitting behind his barn with some other farm equipment. it was pretty weathered and the tires were flat. so i put some air in them and it rolled pretty well so i took it to my brothers shop where he had a 220 outlet. we plugged it in and it fired right up. it hummed perfectly. so i took back to my house took it apart and restored it with new paint and all new nuts, bolts, and a table and had a nice custom cover made for it. this was in 1982. fast forward 29 years and thousands of projects built with my framing company it was time to rebuild and restore again. i took it down to bare metal and start with all new powder coating,nuts, bolts, bearings, tires, trailer bearings, had the motor rewound, new wiring throughout and of course a new cover. i didn't rechrome the arm because its quite pricey and well these saws just don't comand that much money on a resale.i don't use it much anymore, but its there if i need to.
to me this saw represents a time in construction history when production was king.
