I purchased this Unisaw for $300 in late December, 2010. I did not really need a second Unisaw, but this one was wired for 110, which meant that I could use it right away without having to wait until I get the shop wired for 220. It has the old 1 hp bullet motor. I have pulled it apart to put on new bearings and belts. In the process I found that the fornt trunnion bracket was cracked so that s currently at the machine shop being welded. The saw came relatively complete. It did not have a miter gage, but it did have a Unifence with the 52" rail, one extension wing, and a full side extension table. It has a newer switch, but it also had a dust door with the badge adn it had both lock knobs, although they did not match. I bought it from a cabinet shop in Bountiful that had switched to all Saw-Stop saws after an employee there cut off several fingers on one of their cabinet saws. I hope not this one.
This saw had no dust deflector and the inside surfaces were covered with a thick buildup of crud. The pointer bracket was slightly damaged and as I go through it I find more relatively minor things that will need some attention, including worn lock knob bullets, some damaged gear teeth for tilting the blade, etc. But as a temporary saw, I am happy with what I was able to bring home for the price and so far the restoration, devastation of this saw has been a good learning experience.
