Comments:
I got this drill press out of a burned out factory years ago and rebuilt it with all new bearings, pulleys and Springs and electrics. It was a floor model, but the column had bent just above the base. I cut it off at about 3 feet length and made it a bench model. Works fine. I just finished repairing the original chuck, although I don't know if it was softened by the fore. I do have a new Jacobs 33-c that I use on it.
