Bought this machine off a CL ad for $100. It came on a homemade oak stand that was mortise and tenoned together. I made a base with casters and I can roll it around nicely. It has the biggest honkin' 3HP GE Repulsion Induction Motor, 220 volts, single phase. When that baby winds up, it's impressive. It came pretty much as you see it covered with sawdust and grease. The PO must have used the heck out of it "cause everything worked great, knives were sharp and adjusted nicely. At some point I will probably build a new stand to move the motor beneath the planer and when I finally get a metal lathe I'll probably make some new bushings for the motor. Right now I've got gear oil in the gear box until I get ambitious enough to go out and find some 00 grease. Also, I know , you don't want to have any loose sleeves using this thing, that belt is pretty close
