I bought this machine in a private sale from a stair maker in Midland Park, NJ. We had been discussing this lathe for almost 9 months on and off before we made a deal on it. I comes pretty well tooled although both manual tool rest holders along with the 36" double post tool rest that should have been with the machine are missing. The 2 speed motor starter has been removed from the enclosure and an IEC motor starter and contactor have been put in its place. The current setup only allows one speed to be used.

Machine is powered bgy a 2hp 2 speed 3 phase 208v Howell motor. I plan on using a VFD to allow infinite variable speed along with the ability to step down and convert single phase 240v to 208v three phase. Included in the sale were the outboard tool rest floor stand, 18", 12", and 6" tool rests, tool rest holder that goes on the carriage, complete compound assembly, 4 faceplates including 2 that screw onto the inboard end and 2 that bolt onto the outboard end, #4 morse taper live center, dead center, spur center, and drill chuck.

Machine is in nice shape, but will require a complete restoration. Headstock bearings sound a little dry, but the platform for a nice restoration is certainly there.
