Comments:

This lathe was given to my uncle when he retired from Century Boat Company in 1959. It was given to me in 1969 after he died by my aunt. Also according to the serial number this machine was manufactured in 1957 by the Tupelo division.
Update: Fully Restored. New bearings, paint, link belt. Original round diecast tailstock handle (cracked,threads stripped) replaced with ball crank handle. Motor restored and pictured here http://vintagemachinery.org/photoindex/detail.aspx?id=19054
