Comments:
I recently purchased this on Craigslist in Somerville NJ and want to know more about it if possible. It does not have any known mfg info on either the bed, legs, head or tail stock. The only identification is on the end caps used to hold the bearings for the counter shaft assembly. They appear to be early FORD caps used on Model T's. Could it be that this was a FORD built lathe for turning the spindles on the Model T? The bed is 49 inches long and very heavy. I am not sure of the Morse Taper setting on the headstock but it is 1" in Dia. The distance from the center line of the headstock to the bed is 6" allowing a total turning dia of 12". The total turning spindle length is 29".
Any info on this would help restoration.
