I purchased this machine at auction from the Morse Heavy Chain company. It's in excellent condition but the majority of the tooling and pieces that weren't bolted the the lathe were discarded at some point. The lathe is 10' long when "closed" and extends to about 15' when fully open. The carriage functions properly and is in great condition and the tailstock handwheel spins better than any of my other lathes.
The lathe has a variable speed Reeves drive mounted to it which turns a flat belt connected to the headstock. The original headstock wasn't modified, so running it off a lineshaft or jackshaft would be complete doable.
I'll update this post once the lathe gets home and I can get more information from it.
