I have owned this machine for 28 years. My father bought a house in 1982 to rent out. There was a very large out-building on the property, that had various items left in it. This machine was one of those items. From what I have heard, the old building that my jointer was in used to be an old lumber company. I guess it was abandoned. The motor was a HUGE 3 phase, but I didn't have 3 phase power, so I removed the motor. I haven't used the machine a lot in the last 28 years, but I hold onto it because I just think it is awesome. They don't make tools like that anymore!
