This machine is off a 4 gang PM1200 set. The Serial #'s are consecutive from 67-4663 thru 67-4666. My good friend and neighbor Adidas28 has the #4665 press. We both worked together to completely rebuild both presses - strip, clean, new bearings, paint, and assembly. We made custom mobile bases from 2" angle iron and are very pleased with them. I will make more bases for my 1) 67 PM 1150 VS and 2) 64 PM 1150 (step pulley).
A color match was done off the PM 1150 because the paint is in such great condition. Notice the comparison shots of the two and the heads are in excellent condition. The 1150 is in the foreground with the older, original paint. SW Industrial Enamel in the custom 'pea green' color for 60's PM machinery. I will most likely pull the table and bass OFF the 1150 this summer to repaint them for a color matched set of PM DP's.....vintage 67'.
The drill press is smooth running and a pleasure to use. I could not have done this without the help of Adi - it was a lot of fun and a great project for friends.
