As some of you know, I collect, restore and use heavier machinery, mostly Olivers. I was looking for a small saw to do inlay work with when this machine came up in a conversation with my gunsmith one day. He had the machine stored in a garden shed (thankfully a dry one) for about 15 years. He said he had never even turned it on. He previously acquired it from an older gentleman. We struck a deal and I brought the machine home. After a little clean up and digging through a cigar box that came with the saw, I am very pleased with the purchase. Everything appears to work well and the retirement lamp as well with its vintage bulb. There are a ton of blades, including some in the original delta packaging. There is also what appears to be an optional shaft end cover that was obviously purchased later. This saw will be perfect for doing the fine, delicate work that my other machines cannot do.
