A Whitney No. 110 Spindle shaper I acquired from a cabinet manufacturer in Miflinburg, PA. I cast a new belt guard and tensioner bracket for this machine. Spindle turns at 12,400 RPM. 2 HP belt driven. 36" x 26" table. Distance from front of table to spindle center is 12". 5" of vertical spindle adjustment. Weighs 850 LBS. This is in Whitney's "Light Series" of shapers. Below the shaper pictures is a collet chuck from a Onsrud W-200 shaper that I adapted to fit the Whitney spindle mount. I made an adapter sleeve that matches the Onsrud spindle on one side and the Whitney spindle on the other. All of the machining, threading, etc were done on my Kerry 1324 lathe.

This shaper may be small, but it's very heavy. Notice the edge of the table and the substantial ribbing.
