I bought this machine brand new in 1982 from King Saw in Deal New Jersey with money I saved during high school. I has moved through four states since then but I've kept it in mint condition. I still have the orginal receipt, owners manual, parts diagram, safety poster and the see through plastic pack it all came in. My only mistake was not upgrading the motor from a 1/2 to a 1HP once the riser block was added. I'm in the process of upgrading the motor shortly. Overall it's a great saw and it'll never leave my shop! I added a vintage light and a aftermarket fence since then but that's it.

According to the original receipt I purchased it on August 5, 1982. On that day, the bandsaw cost $632.15 ($556 plus $45.45 for the riser block for a total of $602.05 plus $30.10 in NJ sales tax). Appearantly I paid $500 with "check #11" & $132.15 in cash. I was a teenager then and must have scrimped to buy it! I do remember buying a POS BS, swearing for weeks, throwing it away and buying this one. That was my first and last "cry once lesson". Moral of the story? I still have it.
